The quirky Joey Rasdien will MC the Kings and Queens of Comedy spectacle this Sunday, 28th April from 5pm at Emperors Palace. Featuring a stellar lineup of SA’s finest talent, as well as international comedienne-extraordinaire, Ava Vidal, dubbed the UK’s funniest woman. The local comedic genius will include everyone’s favourite cousin Barry Hilton, the inimitable and Afro-ed Marc Lottering, laugh-a-minute Trevor Gumbi, unruly Robbie Collins, Simmi Afrif, 94.7 Highveld’s Darren “Whackhead” Simpson. Ava need not feel alone with all that testosterone however, as sisters in comedy Aunty Mel Jones and gorgeous Angel Blythe Campey are also in the lineup. This Saturday, 28 July, Centre Court at Emperors Palace is set to explode, but not literally. It's time for the next instalment of Blacks Only, South Africa's favourite showcase of the finest black comedians. Blacks Only is one of South Africa’s leading comic brands and it’s easy too see why. With the most entertaining, versatile and ridiculously funny performers on stage, it is a spectacle that provides a uniquely South African insight into what makes this country what it is. As is the custom, the latest show, Suspended, will be spearheaded by the mercurial maverick of mirth himself, David Kau (pronounced ‘cow’). This sacred bovine jester will not be alone, as the audience will be treated
