For lovers of the best live comedy, it’s time to stop crying and carefully remove your head from under that pillow. ‘Why?’ you may ask, in your finest voiceover voice. Well,  The nation’s favourite comedy festival is back in the City of Gold, as The Nando’s Comedy Festival is set to rock Montecasino from 20-26 August. This hot, chicken-flavoured showpiece- presented in association with Graça- will be taking place at the ever-impressive Teatro. This cathedral of comedy will be the platform for some of the biggest local and international acts, including Brian Haner, Christina Pazsitzky, David Kau, Finesse Mitchell, Ian Bagg, Mitch Fatel and Tom Segura. Blacks Only Comedy at Emperors Palace

This Saturday, 28 July, Centre Court at Emperors Palace is set to explode, but not literally. It's time for the next instalment of Blacks Only, South Africa's favourite showcase of the finest black comedians. Blacks Only is one of South Africa’s leading comic brands and it’s easy too see why. With the most entertaining, versatile and ridiculously funny performers on stage, it is a spectacle that provides a uniquely South African insight into what makes this country what it is. As is the custom, the latest show, Suspended, will be spearheaded by the mercurial maverick of mirth himself, David Kau (pronounced ‘cow’). This sacred bovine jester will not be alone, as the audience will be treated
