
The Body Worlds & The Cycle of Life Exhibition has attracted 36 million visitors across the globe. It presents an unbelievable mix of art and anatomy, displaying real human bodies in a fascinating celebration of humanity. This March, the exhibition is coming to Joburg where it will take pride of place at The Sci-Bono Centre in Newtown. The specimens on display are those of real people and have been preserved through the unique process of plastination. Referred to as ‘plastinates,’ the bodies have been flayed, meaning the skin has removed to facilitate a realistic and authentic look into the inner workings of the human body.
