Jaco van Wyk: This man is going places..

In the world of business and enterprise development, it is often the ability to spot gaps and anticipate trends that separates those successful people from the rest.  There is also that inherent feeling of restlessness, always looking to improve upon what has already been achieved and to explore new possibilities.  Jaco van Wyk possesses these qualities in abundance.

Having graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2005 with a BIS multimedia degree, Jaco has gone from strength to strength, founding, designing and developing creative and online companies. At only 28, Jaco already has an impressive CV.  During his studies he started his first successful business; a creative agency called 4Design Creative Media.  This company garnered great success in a relatively short period of time, servicing many high profile clients and being featured on Summit TV’s Startups show.

In 2007, Jaco teamed up with business partner Josh Yudaken and, by applying his knowledge of usability design, functional testing, branding and marketing, assisted Josh in creating Lusion Technologies.  Most recently, the two have once again combined forces to form SnapBill, a revolutionary online billing system aimed at both individuals and SMEs.

On top of all of this, Jaco is also in the process of developing a white-label reseller hosting solution, HostDeploy, which runs on the Amazon Web Services cloud.  He has also founded Codebridge, a new developer community centre based in Claremont, Cape Town, aimed at building a small start-up hub as well as an open space for developers to come and work. With innovators like Jaco van Wyk continually creating new and exciting ventures and opportunities in our business landscape, we can only but wonder as to what will come next….
