Where futures are created
As far as education and the youth of South Africa are concerned, we are told endlessly of the shortcomings, anguish and projected bleak futures of our young people. It’s not all doom and gloom, however, and this can be seen vividly in the activities, goals and dedication of City Kidz.
This inner city, private school provides premium education to pupils from Grade R through to Grade 7. Unlike other schools in the area that occupy high-rise buildings and dingy play areas, City Kidz provides a safe, stimulating and exciting environment for its learners. This includes clean, brightly-lit classrooms and a 3000m2 outdoor, open-air recreational space.
At City Kidz, over 250 pupils are guided by handpicked, qualified teachers and caregivers. Outside of the classroom, the learners are exposed to a myriad of opportunities and activities including a daily nutritional balanced feeding scheme, bursaries, sports and road traffic training activities, as well as many other extra-curricular exercises.
Founded by The Afhco Group in 2008, the school has achieved many successes. Although the founders have already contributed over R3 million to the development of City Kidz, additional funds are always needed to help the school to develop further. If you would like to invest in the futures of so many young people by helping to build new classrooms, a science lab and sports areas, or to obtain more library books and textbooks, contact the school now.
The next time you are in downtown Jozi, pop in and have a look at this remarkable place. What you will be greeted with will quickly paint a picture of a brighter and more optimistic future.
