Big cities are synonymous with industry, survival and an inimitable blend of cultures and expression. Till the end of this month, you have the chance to visit an art exhibition like no other- one that reflects the unique urban environment of Johannesburg. It’s the fantastic I Art Joburg.
I Art Joburg is presented by Adidas Originals and brings together five world-renowned artists in a totally unique, urban setting. The artists have produced six large, outdoor murals, which adorn the buildings, walls and streets of the city’s popular Maboneng Precinct.
The artists on show include the international flavours of New York’s Steve ‘ ESPO’ Powers, Spain’s Remed, Belgium’s Roa and the local talents of Durban’s Cameron Platter and Cape Town’s Falko.
To have a look at this great exhibition, go down to The Maboneng Precinct as soon as you can before the end of October. There will also be a guided walk of the art works this Saturday, 20 October. See the official website for more information.
