One of the primary attractions of October is, of course, Halloween. With enough scary-looking people hanging around Joburg in the remaining 11 months, it is difficult to find the ideal place to celebrate this exciting time. The best way has got to be by attending The South African Horrorfest 2012.
This year marks the 8th anniversary of the festival, taking place in its birthplace, Cape Town, from 24 October-2 November and migrating to Joburg for the very first time from 26-31 October.
In Jozi, the festivities will be taking place at The Bioscope, in the popular Maboneng Precinct. Here, all aspects of horror, gore and chiller entertainment will be explored in movies, documentaries and short films.
This year, the theme of the festival is Frankenstein. This means that if you feel the need to steal body parts from creepy graveyards and make your own ‘human’ being on the way to the festival, you will be among friends
