The MTN Festival at Montecasino to go out with a Bang

If you have not yet been to MTN Festival at Montecasino don’t worry- you have until 14 October to take advantage of the best and most varied entertainment programme in Joburg.

The Festival caters for all ages, preferences and interests. On Saturday, Skoobs Theatre of Books is hosting a free children’s story-telling session, while for the slightly older festivalgoers, this weekend features the remarkable Bierfest.

If comedy is more your thing, it does not get better than the star-studded Bafunny Bafunny team of comedians will be performing at The Teatro from 11-14 October.

If you are still unconvinced and require something with an outdoor, action theme, the festival caters for you too. Man Vs Machine will see bike maestro’s Brian Capper and Dylan Victor thrilling visitors with their distinctive brand of gravity defying, live on the Montecasino Outdoor Piazza.

For theatre-lovers, Montecasino’s Pieter Toerien Theatre and the MTN Festival are hosting Kat & The Kings. This double Olivier Award-winning production, directed by David Kramer, stars a multi-talented young cast, fantastic music and a memorable night’s entertainment.

Other live entertainment on offer includes non-stop comedy action at Parker’s Comedy & Jive; a variety of street performances on every corner of Montecasino’s cobbled walkways and, for the children, the Montecasino Bird Gardens and Magic Company Entertainment Centre.
