Joburg’s hottest festival is back
Johannesburg is over 8000 kilometres from Lisbon, but from April 19 to May 1, you would never guess this. Over these days, a small area to the south of the city will explode with all things Portuguese at the annual Lusito Land Festival.
Lusito Land is an institution on the Jozi festival calendar. It is a complete festival experience, sporting great entertainment, an impressive variety of live music, excellent shopping and a buzzing festival atmosphere. Perhaps the most vaunted item on the festival agenda is the amazing Portuguese cuisine on offer, giving you the chance to indulge in the finest dishes, from sizzling peri-peri chicken to garlic prawns, espetada, prego rolls and back again.
If you have not yet attended Lusito Land, you have missed out on one of the city’s most entertaining events and this year is your chance to make amends. You are invited to immerse yourself in the friendly and colourful Portuguese side of the Joburg adventure and experience the fantastic sensory overload that is Lusito Land.
So, grab a drink and a tasty prego roll and feel a wide smile spread across your face in the knowledge that, in Joburg, Portugal isn’t that far away at all.
