South Africa get ready to be blown away for part three of the adidas Originals Live Performance Series, with indie band The Drums headed to rock Jozi and Cape Town this November, after two very successful album launches and sell-out tours across America, Europe and parts of Asia. The Drums are proudly brought to you by We-are-awesome Events.
The five-piece American indie pop sensation is set to take Joburg and Cape Town by storm kicking the shows off on Friday the 16th of November 2012 at the Carlton Skyrink in Johannesburg and Saturday the 17th at the Breakwater Rooftop Lot at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town from 8pm.
Emerging from Brooklyn via Florida in 2009, The Drums initially caught the ear of the indie world with their Summertime! EP. Concertgoers can expect their melodic escapist beach pop fantasy and synth-laden singles. Being The Drums first performance in South Africa with supporting acts including Desmond & the Tutus, The Future Primitives and Black Handed Kites it is definitely one show you don’t want to miss!
