What’s more interesting is that a simple, bubbly, alcoholic drink has trumped them all. Beer has been in existence since our inception and is sure to be there at the very end. The SAB World of Beer is positioned in the Newtown Cultural Precinct, adding its own yeasty flavour to this colourful region of the city. Inside its red-bricked walls is an exciting showcase of the history of brewing. This includes a museum-based tour that will take you on a historical and culturural journey from ancient Mesopotamia, through Africa and Europe and back to the present day.

In keeping with the culture of beer drinking, at the end of the tour, you are invited to conclude your visit by enjoying a glass of your favourite SAB beer in the Tap Room. This welcoming venue on the top level of the building is the ideal place to sip some of that famous history.
