It’s a great time to be South African. Winter is beginning to cheer up, while Olympic gold medals hang proudly from our necks and the Proteas look menacing at Headingley- and all of this in the wake of Mandela’s 94th birthday. This Saturday, 4 August, there is the perfect event to celebrate all things South African, as the inaugural SA On Tap Craft Beer Festival will be taking place. At The Brightwater Commons
This fantastic event opens its doors at 10am and keeps them that way until 6pm. In those magic 8 hours, you have the chance to sample the finest brews that the country’s craft beer industry has to offer. With 81 different beers available and the added bonus of stunning weather and great company, the festival is the place to be on Saturday.
But as the saying goes, that’s not all.
Although golden refreshment is the main attraction on the day, it is by no means the only one. There will also be the best local music on offer (including performances by Desmond and the Tutus and Cameron Bruce) as well as live coverage of the day’s Super Rugby, Olympics and cricket.
So, that’s beer, sport, great company and excellent weather…would you be anywhere else this Saturday?
