The Soweto Wine Festival

The Soweto Wine Festival is fast making a name for itself as one of the trendiest South African wine festivals, bringing together the who's who of Jozi against the energetic backdrop of Soweto.

Learn about wine, taste South Africa's finest wines, meet people and have fun!

This wine and lifestyle festival is held in Soweto during the first weekend of September. Founded by Cape Wine Academy MD Marilyn Cooper and Soweto Wine Emporium owner Mnikelo Mancipu, it attracts thousands of visitors and hundreds of wineries to an up-market, lively winetasting weekend.

Furthermore, The Soweto Wine Festival is a wine and lifestyle festival held in Soweto that provides Sowetans with opportunities to gain knowledge of wines and wine tasting within their own burgeoning environment.

Simultaneously, this festival provides economic value to the South African wine producers by introducing South African wines to new markets via education and interaction that simultaneously increases local consumption and sales; and for sponsors – by hosting a strong platform for direct interaction with business and consumer prospects across multiple markets.

Dates and Times: Thursday September 1st and Friday 2nd – 6pm to 10pm

                                  Saturday September 3rd – 5pm to 9pm.
